Deacon Tom Sicola

Deacon Tom graduated in 1966 from NY College of Music with a Bachelors Degree in Music. He received his Masters degree in education from St. Elizabeth's College in 1998. For 38 years he taught music in Cranford. In 1996 he was Ordained to the Deaconate. Deacon Tom has been a parishioner of OLM for 22 years and served the parish community as a Deacon for the last 13 years. In that role he helps couples prepare for the Baptism of their children and celebrates the sacrament of Baptism and an occasional Marriage for parishioners. Additionally Deacon Tom preaches on a regular basis and also helps with the Religious Education classes. Most recently Deacon Tom helped bring about OLM's newest parish program called Neighbor To Neighbor which is helping people who have lost their jobs to find gainful employment. In addition to his service at OLM, every Monday and Friday, Deacon Tom provides spiritual support and one on one counseling in his role as the Catholic Chaplain at Somerset County Jail.
