The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA, formerly RCIA) is available at Our Lady of the Mount.
OCIA is a process by which new members (baptized into another denomination or unbaptized) are brought into the Catholic Church. This occurs through discussion of the Gospels and the catechism.
OCIA also helps those seeking to receive the sacraments of initiation that they didn't receive as children, such as Confirmation. Participants learn about the life of Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Using a small-group approach, everyday parishioners lead discussions on the Sunday Mass readings and topics such as the Commandments, prayer, and the meaning of Mass.
